Over 100 Russian Projects Presented at the TIBO International ICT Forum

The 30th International Information and Communication Technology Forum, TIBO-2024, was held in Minsk on June 5-8. The CIPR Conference and the Government of Nizhny Novgorod Region presented a joint show-bench at the forum’s exposition, where they showcased over 100 digital projects from more than 50 Russian companies. Forum participants also discussed the prospects of technological cooperation between Belarus and Russia.

Leading Nizhny Novgorod IT companies presented over 100 projects showcasing the region’s key technological initiatives, including solutions from Gorky Tech, NEIMARK, and OKA Autonomous Non-Commercial Organizations. Among the support measures presented was Welcome!, a new portal designed to assist with the relocation and adaptation of IT specialists. Forum attendees also learned about NEIMARK, a project of the world-class interuniversity IT campus currently under construction in Nizhny Novgorod as part of the Science and Universities national project approved by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The first network program of the campus is scheduled to commence this autumn at the Nizhny Novgorod Higher School of Economics.

The joint show-bench of CIPR and the Government of Nizhny Novgorod Region at the TIBO ICT Forum in Minsk won the best show-bench award. Over 80,000 people visited the show-bench during the four days of the forum.

“TIBO provided an opportunity proceed with the areas that we discussed with our Belarusian colleagues at the CIPR conference in Nizhny Novgorod. Thanks to the top-level support of our cooperation, we are able to make consistent progress, plan new projects, and find additional points of contact. We are pleased that the Nizhny Novgorod show-bench received high praise, with our team striving to embed narratives related to both the past and the future of Nizhny Novgorod Region. Thank you very much for the warm welcome”, said Gleb Nikitin, Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region.

At the show-bench, visitors were greeted by matryoshka doll NiNochka (representing her city of birth, NiNo for Nizhny Novgorod) with generative artificial intelligence. She introduced the guests to the region’s digital projects, told them about CIPR, and shared her impressions of her first international trip to Minsk. Visitors could engage with the virtual world of art through VR-glasses: view Konstantin Makovsky’s painting ‘Minin’s Proclamation’ and the NEIMARK digital universe. As a memento of Nizhny Novgorod, visitors could take digital postcards with augmented reality and have a memorable souvenir printed here on a 3D printer.

At the TIBO, the CIPR delegation engaged in negotiations with the forum organizers, while the delegation of Nizhny Novgorod Region held discussions with a number of Belarusian companies about placing their products on the special digital multi-lingual import substitution platform ит-маркетплейс.рф. The development of this platform was supervised by Gorky Tech Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization.

“Business events such as CIPR and TIBO facilitate dialogue and partnership between countries in the high-tech sector. This year, productive business meetings were held on the event platforms, and signings took place in May at the CIPR conference and in June at the TIBO forum. We discussed the potential for collaboration in the areas of joint digital development between Belarus and Russia, mutual participation in the events of the conferences, and we look forward to welcoming Belarusian companies at the Anniversary CIPR-2025 in Nizhny Novgorod”, said Olga Piven, CIPR Conference Director and Co-Founder.
