10th CIPR Conference to Be Held on June 3-6, 2025

The tenth Digitalization of Industrial Russia (CIPR) conference, the main business event on digital economy and technologies in Russia, is scheduled to take place on June 3-6, 2025. All events within the 10th anniversary of the conference will take place in Nizhny Novgorod, taking over the grounds of the Nizhny Novgorod Fair and Vysota Youth Center. The halls of the Main Fair Building will also be used for the sessions of the business program. The exhibition showcasing Russian IT solutions will be located in the mirror pavilions, and a special pavilion will be constructed for international participants. Negotiations are underway with foreign companies from China, India, and Middle Eastern countries. A grand festival for participants and city residents will be organized on the street territory of the Nizhny Novgorod Fair.

Since 2016, the topic of digital development has been on the periphery of the government and business agenda. At that time, interest in the digitalization of Russian industrial organizations was just emerging, and a platform was needed to bring together representatives of government agencies, industry, and IT. The Digitalization of Industrial Russia conference was established to address this need. In a decade, CIPR has evolved from an industry initiative to a prominent international event. The conference now attracts guests and market leaders from all regions of Russia and the EAEU, SCO, and BRICS countries. The conference’s business program has expanded annually, with an increasing number of satellite events. Since 2022, CIPR has hosted CIPR Tech Week, a prominent technological festival designed for young people. Additionally, it organizes DECIPRALAND, featuring digital artists from around the world. The event also includes cyber championships and phygital games, which combine real and virtual competitions. On the final day of the event, the CIPR exhibition opens its doors to guests and residents of the city.

For over a decade, CIPR has firmly established itself as the preeminent platform for dialogue between business and government representatives on the issues of the digital transformation of society and fast-growing industries that significantly influence the Russian economy and contribute to fostering international cooperation. Currently, CIPR is as the major event in Russia’s digital economy, where strategic government decisions are made, initiatives for the advancement of the IT industry are discussed, and avenues for achieving the nation’s technological sovereignty in critical economic sectors are determined. For example, CIPR-2024 hosted the initial public discussions of the new national project, Data Economy, which replaced the previous national project, Digital Economy. The event was attended by Mikhail Mishustin, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Grigorenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Chief of the Government Staff, Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Maksut Shadayev, Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Gleb Nikitin, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, and others. The conference also includes key companies in Russia’s digital industry, such as Rostec State Corporation, Rostelecom, Rosatom, Rosseti Group, Uralchem, KAMAZ, MTS, MegaFon, Sber, Gazprombank, DOM.RF Development Institution, 1C, Transneft, SIBUR, and many others.

‘Beginning next year, we will initiate a new national project, Data Economy. It includes large-scale tasks, such as the creation of high-speed and secure Internet, the introduction of artificial intelligence, the development of domestic technologies and effective data management tools. Achieving these goals will require feedback from the business community and its technological potential. In this regard, the role of CIPR as a platform where long-term solutions are formed at the state level in the field of digital innovation is of particular importance,’ said Dmitry Grigorenko, Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Government Staff of the Russian Federation.

CIPR contributes to the formation of a global digital business environment and opens wide opportunities for finding partners in the Russian and foreign high-tech market. As part of CIPR, international agreements are signed, investment deals are concluded, and a showcase of digital solutions and high-tech equipment for key industries is held. At these events, companies present their innovations in areas such as AI, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, smart cities technology, etc.

Over the years, CIPR has demonstrated positive dynamics in strengthening digital inter-country integration and development of global international scientific and technical cooperation. The event is attended by representatives of the EAEU, SCO, and BRICS integration associations. This year, foreign delegates participated in all conference sessions, with representatives from 25 countries in attendance. The exhibition featured solutions presented by companies from China, the Republic of Belarus, and Middle Eastern countries. A number of Russian and foreign organizations signed international contracts for joint cooperation in ICT, cybersecurity, and export support. Additionally, an international cyber championship was held, with teams from 21 countries applying to participate.

‘We are pleased and proud to announce that Nizhny Novgorod, a leading IT hub in Russia, will be hosting a key ‘digital’ conference. Our city is naturally an ideal venue for addressing crucial industry matters with the direct involvement of senior officials. The event’s international scope is also expanding, with guests from 25 countries attending this year. We expect an even stronger international presence next year, which will be the jubilee year. It is essential that CIPR has ‘resonated’ not only with the professional community, but also with the people of Nizhny Novgorod. We are committed to organizing an open day for residents next year,’ emphasized Gleb Nikitin, Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region.

The conference also promotes the export support of Russian technological solutions. With the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Digital Attaché Service – a group of employees from Russian trade missions abroad who promote Russian IT products – presented a stand at CIPR-2024 for the first time.

‘For 10 years, CIPR has provided a platform for effective dialogue between regulators and key market experts, as well as united the best intellectual IT resources of the country under its umbrella. Now, we have a responsibility not only to present the anniversary conference as a reflection and systematization of valuable long-term experience in the digital environment, but also to form a vector for further development of the industry, taking into account strategic initiatives and adaptation to the changed scenarios of the global economic landscape. This includes fostering a dialogue with partner countries in the international market,’ said Olga Piven, Conference Director.

In 2024, the event welcomed over 9,800 attendees from 89 Russian regions and 25 countries. The exhibition featured 156 stands showcasing technological solutions from Russian and international companies. The business program featured 107 discussions with 785 speakers. The event concluded with the signing of over 140 agreements, including international agreements with China, Cuba, and Iran. The DECIPRALAND Digital Art Exhibition showcased more than 70 works of digital art by more than 40 artists.

The conference is organized by OMG. The event receives support from the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry for Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, and the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
