CIPR Tech Week Attracted Over 2,000 Participants at Nine Venues in Nizhny Novgorod

CIPR Tech Week was held from May 20 to 26 as part of the CIPR-2024 conference. The event attracted over 2,000 participants. The business program comprised 92 sessions held at nine venues in Nizhny Novgorod. Ten phygital soccer tournaments were held, 28 teams participated in an IT-quiz, and 35 restaurants in Nizhny Novgorod offered special menus for CIPR participants.

This year, CIPR Tech Week’s business program included five tracks in different areas: AI, computers and virtual reality, economy and finance, trends, education and career, psychology and self-development. Festival participants could engage in direct communication with professionals and leaders in a range of sectors, including media, technology, finance, HR, game design, etc. The speakers at CIPR Tech Week were Alexandra Zharkova, Co-Founder and Development Director of SETTERS Communication Agency, General Director of SETTERS EDUCATION; Georgy Lobushkin, Partner of K2 Agency, author of the Lobushkin and Lobushkin Lightning Telegram channels, author and host of the Vlobushkin YouTube show; Alexandra Lekomtseva, Development Director of Sample Gallery and Blazar Young Art Fair; Yuliya Susova, PR and Development of Zielinski&Rozen, Rockets coffee, Beauty Spoon collagen, Beauty Director of Aeroflot, creator of Susfood and the Hedonistcats Telegram channel; Lena Pavelyeva, specialist in brand creation and promotion, author of the Talking to a Psychologist YouTube show; Alexander Mikheyev, VK Play Product Director, Head of the Association of Game Operation and Development Industry Professionals; Anastasiya Posternak, CEO of AR/VR development studio AVM Technology, developers of Russia’s first educational meta-universe NEIMARK. Digital Universe; Marina Alekseyeva, ex-Vice President, Intel Architecture, Graphics and Software, General Director for Research and Development of Intel in Russia, IT Campus Development Consultant of NEIMARK Nizhny Novgorod; Dmitry Gorinov, Head of MTS Generative AI, and others.

“The goal of CIPR Tech Week is to promote technologies among a wide audience, assisting school leavers, university graduates and those embarking on their careers to identify their professional development needs. Our festival offers attendees the chance to hear and learn from leading experts, attend masterclasses and workshops. Next year, we plan to expand the lecture program, invite speakers who have been long awaited in Nizhny Novgorod, and increase the number of cultural, entertainment, and sports events”, said Irina Yefimova, General Director of OMG and organizer of CIPR Tech Week.

One of the most notable events was Festival of Robots. Kids, where young robot technicians could evaluate and improve their professional level in robotics, communicate with their peers, and learn about new professions. From May 21 to 24, guests could enjoy robot fights, 3D modeling, 3D puzzle assembly, robot programming, as well as drone flight simulators and the Beat Saber game with virtual reality elements at the Nizhny Novgorod Fair pavilion.

On May 24, INVESTFEST, a festival of technology startups and investors from all over Russia, was held for the first time in Nizhny Novgorod. Experts shared best practices and experience, held group masterminds, and provided guidance to aspiring entrepreneurs in addressing real-world business challenges.

On May 25, at the Positive Hack Days 2 cyberfestival, practicing cybersecurity experts shared insights on the profession, personal experience, and strategies for a successful career in the industry. There was also a teleconference connecting four cities simultaneously: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan (Innopolis), and Nizhny Novgorod. Following the broadcast, participants were invited to engage in a diverse program of entertainment and thematic workshops for visitors of all ages.

The Gamedev Quiz team quiz provided an opportunity for participants to demonstrate their knowledge of games and game development by answering questions, while engaging in captivating and memorable discussions that broadened their horizons. The event was moderated by Yury Sirotkin, a game designer, author of the Game Design Practice channel, and expert of the Start the Game all-Russian contest.

Pari Nizhny Novgorod football club set up interactive and phygital platforms at the Nizhny Novgorod Fair. On the mini-football field, participants could engage in ball play and attempt special challenges, while in the cybersports zone, they could test their skills in FIFA. During all four days, ten phygital tournaments were held. Additionally, an autograph session with the main team player Mamadou Maiga was organized on one of the days.

REO’s Uberu eco-zone was set up in the street zone with the objective of providing information about recycling and digital services that facilitate the recycling process, as well as promoting a conscious approach to ecology and responsible consumption.

Throughout the week, the open-air area in front of the Nizhny Novgorod Fair was open to festival participants, who had access to pop-up corners and food trucks from the city’ best restaurants, modern music, outdoor ping-pong, special DJ sets from musicians, and balloon flights. Additionally, KUPNO offered guests the opportunity to recharge and gain new insights through yoga classes on the premises. 35 restaurants in Nizhny Novgorod, including Red Wall, Dodici Grill, Krasa, Goose with Apples, and Yale, offered special menus and discounts for festival visitors.

CIPR Tech Week was held with the support of Gorky Tech and Project Office of NEIMARK IT Campus Autonomous Non-Commercial Organizations.

CIPR Tech Week is a week-long technological festival at the CYPR conference. It features lectures and public talks with successful business representatives for students and young IT specialists, as well as cultural, entertainment, gastronomic, and musical events.
