CIPR Conference is launching a new activity format – Tech Friendly Weekend

CIPR Conference is launching a new tech festival, Tech Friendly Weekend. It’s a fresh format open to anyone keen on innovation. 5–8 June, technology is storming out of conventional conference rooms to fill Nizhny Novgorod’s key urban spaces, from the Nizhny Novgorod Fair grounds to the Vysota Youth Centre.

The first CIPR Conference took place back in 2016, when digital economy just began make its way into business agenda. Over the following ten years, CIPR has grown to become a key tech platform and an international-scale event. It hosts debates on Russia’s digital future and global cooperation; it features latest IT solutions and is surrounded by various satellite events, including CIPR Tech Week. This time, CIPR Tech Week will be held as a full-size Tech Friendly Weekend festival.

Tech Friendly Weekend is a modern-day sidekick to the CIPR core event and a new urban festival focused on technology, people and future; it makes tech agenda closer and more intelligible to everyone. It includes business and entertainment programmes so that innovation can be communicated to different audiences most efficiently. The festival is going to unfold in Nizhny Novgorod’s key urban spaces – the Nizhny Novgorod Fair grounds and the Vysota Youth Centre. The programme spans four days and includes dozens of activities, 45 top-level speakers and an expanded interactive block that will feature workshops, TED Talks by expert speakers, figital tournaments, a gastroweekend and balloon flights.

‘Nizhny Novgorod is an important domestic tech hub in Russia. This city boasts a dynamic youth policy and launches multiple projects in IT and creative industries. We believe that Tech Friendly Weekend is going to be an organic part of this ecosystem,’ said Irina Yefimova, CEO of OMG, which is the organiser of both CIPR Conference and Tech Friendly Weekend festival.

The core subject of the upcoming Tech Friendly Weekend is artificial intelligence in creative industries. This festival will be attended by those who tutor neural networks, who implements AI solutions in business and who test AI abilities in the real world. What’s really on GigaChat’s mind? Can AI be a new script writer? How can AI help fashion retail to earn money? Small and medium-size business executives and creative businesspersons will talk about how their professional environment changes with the introduction of new technology and general digitalisation.

Tech Friendly Weekend marks a new beginning for CIPR Conference. We aim to make technology closer and more intelligible to general public. This is a festival for those who are already immersed in the tech community and for those who are only starting to explore digital world,’ said Olga Piven, Co-Founder and Director of CIPR Conference and Tech Friendly Weekend.
